I believed you've ever eat ice cream and eat popcorn, but..... have you ever eat popcorn and ice cream together before?

If you haven't try and want to try it, you may visit Sweet Monster. Sweet Monster is famous for their Popcorn soft serve ice cream. FYI, they claimed that they are the creator of Popcorn soft serve ice cream.

Popcorn soft serve ice cream is basically a soft ice cream with popcorn covered all around the ice cream.

They have five flavors of Popcorn: Cheese & Caramel Mix, Caramel, Milk, Strawberry, Choco.

For the ice cream, they are using handmade soft ice cream that contains more than 75% milk content.

I try Strawberry and Choco. Both flavors are very delicious. The ice cream also have strong milk taste. It's yummy. The portion is also quite big.

Overall, I am glad to try their Popcorn soft serve ice cream. It's a nice combination indeed.

Will I go there again? Yes.

Craving for a Snow Ice or Shaved Ice around Bugis area? You may try Dessert First.

Dessert First offers few types of Snow Ice and Shaved Ice. We tried Strawberry Snow Ice with Mango Cubes, Durian Shaved Ice and Mango Shaved Ice.

The main highlight in this shop is Durian Shaved Ice. They claimed that they use fresh durian as a topping. After eating it, we all agree that they really are using a fresh durian to make an ice cream. The taste is beyond our expectation. It's because you can feel the durian texture in the durian ice cream. Amazing, right?

For durian lover, this Durian Shaved Ice is a must to order. No wonder Durian Shaved Ice is their recommendation.

Other that Durian Shaved Ice, Mango Shaved Ice is also classified as one of their recommendation menu. The taste is nice and the mango is fresh.

Even though Strawberry Snow Ice with Mango Cubes is not classified as a recommendation menu, I still dare to try that. Because based on my experiences, I figure out that about 60% of the recommendation dishes at many restaurants are not reflected on the taste.  It tastes sweet and nice.

Please take note that this shop is very crowded especially at night. So you may expect a longer waiting time.

Will I go there again? Yes.

Haagen-Dazs

It would be very nice if you pamper yourself with an ice cream in this hot weather. Sounds good, right?

If you agree, let's go buy an ice cream. Do you want to go to Haagen-Dazs shop?

I tried The Eiffel Tower at Haagen-Dazs shop. The Eiffel Tower consists of Belgian chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. This ice cream is decorated with Dark Chocolate Eiffel Tower. I salute that they come up with this brilliant idea to create this Eiffel Tower.

The Eiffel Tower is one of the new menu that they have.

Overall, the taste is nice, but you must eat the ice cream faster as it will be melting very fast. I understand that sometimes it's very annoying if the ice cream melt too fast. So if you don't mind, maybe you can consider to try?

Will I go there again? Yes and I will try other flavors.

Ragusa Es Italia

Today I will introduce you to one of the very old ice cream shop in Jakarta named Ragusa Es Italia. Ragusa Es Italia exists since 1932 in Batavia (previous name of Jakarta. Batavia is a name given by Netherland).

Ragusa Es Italia already becomes a part of Jakarta history that is still survived until now.

Nowadays, there are only 3 left Ragusa Es Italia shop. We visited Duta Merlin branch. Only in this branch, they sell European, Indonesian and Chinese dishes beside ice cream.

We ordered Spaghetti Ice Cream, Cassata Sicilliana, Fillet Steak and Kwetiaw Goreng (Fried Kway Teow).

Their most recommended ice cream is Spaghetti Ice Cream. Wondering why they had named it Spaghetti Ice Cream? I believed it's because the ice cream shape looks like Spaghetti. It's really yummy and the ice cream texture is smooth.

Cassata Sicilliana ice cream is also delicious. You can try many different flavors in one ice cream.

FYI, Ragusa Es Italia is using fresh cow milk to make the ice cream and not using preservative at all.

Fillet Steak and Fried Kway Teow are also not bad. The steak is tender enough. Both are promising main dishes for us.

Creme Glacee

Today I will share with you about a cute ice cream that I find at Kelapa Gading Mall (Jakarta - Indonesia). The name of this ice cream stall is Creme Glacee.

This ice cream is cute because they make-over the ice cream to become look like puppy (From the appearance, I guess it's a puppy. Sorry if I misinterpret it :p)

Beside having cute design, they also claim that their ice cream is a handmade and healthy ice cream.

Creme Glacee has 11 different flavors for you to try:
- Choco Crunchy (Ice Cream Chocolate with some Crunchy)
- Strawberry Crunchy (Strawberry Ice Cream with some Crunchy)
- Matcha Creme (Vanilla Ice Cream with Green Tea Powder)
- Valley (Vanilla Ice Cream with Choco Barleys)
- Cappomond (Cappuccino Ice Cream with Almonds)
- Micho Creme (Tiramisu Ice Cream with Chocolates)
- Cookies and Creme (Vanilla Ice Cream with Cookies)
- Strawchip (Strawberry Ice Cream with Choco chip)
- Tutti Frutti (Vanila Ice Cream with Fruits)
- Chocolate Cheese (Chocolate Ice Cream with Cheese)
- Rum Raisin (Vanilla Ice Cream with Rum and Raisins)

I tried Cappomond. Even though they didn't have almond, they changed the almond with some cracker. It was very tasty. The Cappuccino taste was strong. Coffee lovers would like it so much.

FYI, currently they only have a temporary stall at Kelapa Gading Mall in the conjunction of Weekend Bazar Event. I hope in near future, they plan to open a permanent stall :)

Pat and Stick`s HomeMade Ice Cream Co.

Hi all, have you ever try Ice Cream Sandwich? I found this ice sandwich at 'Pat and Stick`s Home Made Ice Cream Co' shop when I visited PasarBella - Marina Bay Sands event.

FYI, Pat and Stick`s is famous in Australia. They have 9 different flavors, such as Vanilla Chocolate, Chocolate Lace, Vanilla Lace, Double Chocolate, Strawberry Chocolate Chip, Caramel Pecan, Espresso Lace, Peppermint Chocolate Chip and Mochaccino.

I tried Caramel Pecan because this flavors was one of the top four sellers ice cream sandwich. Caramel Pecan consists of Salted Caramel Ice Cream wedged between pecan-packed cookies.

The cookies was crunchy and the ice cream was delicious.

Will I go there again? Yes

Zahra Turkish Ice Cream

Have you ever try Turkish Ice Cream? If not, you may try Turkish Ice Cream at Clarke Quay area (Singapore) or Mall Kelapa Gading (Jakarta - Indonesia).

Turkish Ice Cream is famous in these two countries not only because of their ice cream taste, but also because of their selling performance to attract customer. The seller will do attraction when he serves the ice cream to us. They will pretend to give us the ice cream and I am sure that you can't catch the ice cream. They move very fast. It's a smart idea to make a joke with the customer in this way.

Their ice cream also use special ingredient named Salep. FYI, Salep is a dried orchid root which becomes powder. Salep makes ice cream stickier and not melting very fast like other normal ice cream. This Turkish Ice Cream contains 100% milk.

 I try Chocolate flavor of Turkish Ice Cream at Zahra Turkish Ice Cream in Jakarta.

Currently, Zahra Turkish Ice Cream have 21 flavors, such as Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Choco Chips, Mango, Apple, Coffee, Tiramisu, Melon, Pomegranate, Green Tea, Pineapple, Hazelnut, Blueberry, Coconut, Pistachio, Lemon, Kiwi, Banana, Durian, Exotic.

To prove the customer that Turkish Ice Cream is sticky enough, they will hold the ice cream cone upside down. You will be amazed that with the upside down condition, the ice cream will not fall from the cone.

Are you Ice Cream lovers? If yes, you should try the ice creams at the Ice Cream Gallery.

Ice Cream Gallery offers homemade ice creams with many flavours that will make you come and come again to try other flavour you haven't try. Some of  the flavours that they have are D24 durian, fresh coconut, lychee, mango tango, summer berries, soursop, banana chocolate nut, avocado gula Melaka and many more.

FYI, Ice Cream Gallery was a Soursop winner. Judges said that Ice Cream Gallery's soursop ice cream was "bright and vibrant". The secret behind this was they used over-ripe Soursop pulp.

I ordered two scoops of Strawberry and Belgian Chocolate. Belgian Chocolate was very delicious. Strawberry was also not bad.

It was too bad that I didn't try their Soursop. For my second visit, I definitely will try the Soursop.

Will I go there again? Yes, of course :)

Little Ice Cream Kafe

Looking for a nice decent ice cream around Tanjong Katong road? You may want to try Little Ice Cream Kafe.

They told me that the most popular ice cream flavour at this café is Butterscotch. It's indeed popular as almost all the people came to order this flavour. Butterscotch has a nice taste and the most important part is it's not that sweet. It's yummy. 

Beside Butterscotch flavour, I also tried Bubble Gum Flavour. I choose this because it's a new flavour over there. Bubble Gum flavour is too sweet for me. This flavour is more suitable for sweet-taste ice cream lovers.

Personally, I like Butterscotch more than Bubble Gum flavour.

Will I go there again? Maybe yes.

Andersen`s of Denmark Ice Cream

Looking for a sweet and nice ice cream dessert @ Serangoon NEX?  You may want to try Andersen`s of Denmark Ice Cream.

FYI, Ice creams at Andersen`s are using traditional Danish recipes.

Over there, we ordered Couple Fondue, Andersen`s Classic and Homemade Brownie.

Couple Fondue is ideal for 2 person. This fondue comes with 5 scoops of rich and creamy Andersen`s ice cream, fruits, marshmallow, ice cream cones and cookies.

Andersen`s Classic comes with 5 scoops of delectable Andersen`s ice cream, served in a crispy chocolate dipped waffle basket.

We tried all of the ice creams flavours that they have, such as:
- Vanilla. This ice cream consists of luxurious taste of real Madagascan vanilla bean, lavishly crushed into the ice cream.
- Fruit of Forest. A delicious combination of raspberries, blueberries and strawberries.
- Belgian Chocolate Chip.
- Strawberries & Cream. They using natural colour of real strawberries.
- Banana Crunch. This ice cream has the real taste of bananas with chocolate chunks and walnuts.
- Mint Chocolate Chip.
- Rum & Raisin.
- Macadamia Nut.
- Mocha Almond Fudge. Combining coffee, chocolate fudges and almond strips.
- Cookies & Cream. They using chunks of Oreo cookies.

Both Couple Fondue and Andersen`s Classic desserts are  refreshingly yummy-licious sweet.

Homemade Brownie is not bad either. The portion is quite big, I can guarantee that this cake will make you feel full.

Overall, we quite satisfied with their ice cream and brownie.

Note: You may skip your dinner after eating these desserts :p

Marble Slab Creamery

Last month, I, my sister and Serene tried some of waffle Ice cream from Marble Slab Creamery.

We choose Cream Brulle and Red Velvet Cake flavour, Pink Grapefruit Sorbet and Matcha Infusion flavour, Chocolate Swiss and Double Dark Chocolate flavour.

The best combination among those three was Cream Brulle and Red Velvet Cake (my sister’ flavour). The taste is very nice and the presentation itself looks yummy. Ceh!!!

The second best was Chocolate Swiss and Double Dark Chocolate (Serene’s flavour). I believed this combination is most suitable for the Choco lover....

The worst combination ever was Pink Grapefruit Sorbet and Matcha Infusion flavour (My own choice of flavour, S**T!!). Yes, I choose this combination by MY SELF. It’s a shame but I admit it.. hahaha..

The taste is super sour (from Pink Grapefruit Sorbet) and bitter (from Matcha Infusion). Can you imagine how weird the combination between sour – bitter altogether???

Will I go there again? Yes. I will NOT order the Pink Grapefruit Sorbet and Matcha Infusion flavour again...hehehe.
