JPot

Good Day to everyone!!

Share with you one Singapore-style hotpot restaurant in Tampines One shopping centre called JPot.

We ordered Set Menu A (for 2 person) S$58++. You need to pay extra money to get free flow drink.

Bear in mind that this is not a buffet type restaurant. So, you can’t top up the foods!

Set menu A consists of:
- Seafood & Hand-made fish noodle platter. This platter includes of live prawns, sliced fish, sliced squid, scallop, Hand-made fish noodle.

- Freshly sliced & marinated meat. You may choose any 2 different items, which is Pork Loin / Chicken / Beef Brisket / Marinated Beef / Marinated Pork / Marinated Chicken

- Vegetables. Spinach with Enoki Mushroom

- Noodles or rice. You may choose 1 from: Pho / Vermicelli / Instant noodle / thick laksa noodle /rice

- Two different types of Broth. Currently, they has seven different types of broth: JPOT Superior Broth, Bak Kut Teh, Herbal, Laksa, Silky Porridge, Tom Yum and Vegetarian

We chose Marinated Beef, Marinated Chicken and rice.

The waiter told us that their specialty broth is JPOT Superior Broth. So without hesitation, we tried JPOT Superior Broth.

For the other broth, we tried their Tom Yum. As expected, JPOT Superior Broth is tastier than the Tom Yum soup.

Now, let's the review begin =)

Their seafood, such as: fish, scallop, squid and prawns are very fresh.

They have this one unique dish, called Hand-made fish noodle. One look, it looks like an ‘icing bag which is used to decorate a cake’. You need to press the plastic that contain a fish and put it in the soup.

The longer you press, the longer the fish noodle will be. Until now, I never make a noodle which this kind of method. It quite interesting and the taste are great.

Marinated Beef and Chicken are fresh as well. The marinated blends perfectly and the meat are super tender.

Other than meat, they also serve a Quail egg.

The vegetable, such are Spinach and enoki mushroom are fresh too.

Not fell full; we decided to order the dessert. We tried Snow Ice Mango. The Snow Ice Mango contains of milk-flavoured snow, fresh mango, mango puree, and nata de coco. This dessert is refreshingly sweet and nice.

Although the price is a bit high and the portion is not that big (especially if compared with others hotpot buffet style), I still feel it’s quite worth to try.

Love the ambience and the freshness of their food.

This restaurant is a good place to have a lunch / dinner’s meeting. The ambience is comfy and the service quality is good. They are so considerate to providing a small bucket with a big cloth to cover your bag. I believed it's to prevent your bag become dirty from the hotpot soup.

Ups, I almost forgot one thing!! They use a mini touchscreen device to place the order. Sounds cool, right?? =P
