Looking for a nice looking cupcake to accompany you relaxing from hectic work? You may try cupcakes at Twelve Cupcake shop. I believed most of you know about this shop already :) It's very famous, right? I heard they already expanded the shop overseas, such as Jakarta, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.

From Twelve Cupcake website, I also find out that every week they will sell different types of cupcakes. It's a smart idea so customer will not bored and keep buying because of the curiosity of new types of cupcakes.

They also have 6 types of cupcakes that they sell everyday, such as Red Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Salted Caramel, Vanilla Chocolate and Rainbow Vanilla.

I try Red Velvet and Strawberry Cheesecake.

Red Velvet consists of Cream Cheese and Red Velvet Cake.

Strawberry Cheesecake consist of Strawbery, Cream Cheese and Cheese cake.

Both of cupcakes are eye catching and the most important is yummy. Actually I am not a cupcake lover, but I like these cupcakes a lot.

Will I go there again? Yes and I will try other cupcakes.

Nolboo Hangari Galbi

Hello Guys!!! How is your weekend? I spent my last weekend in my hometown AGAIN (Yippie!!!)

Anyway, today let me share with you another Korean restaurant named Nolboo Hangari Galbi.

Over there, we ordered Gal-bi Tang and Bu-Chu Jeon.

Gal-bi Tang is a beef short ribs stew with cabbage. They serve this dish in a very hot condition (You can see from the below picture that the soup still boil in the bowl). 

Best to eat while it’s still hot and the beef also tender. For me, the taste is ok only.

Bu-Chu Jeon is Korean Leek Pancake. I thought this dish will be as nice as Kimchi Jeon that we tried on Man bok BBQ.

But after we tried, it was totally different. We are not really like it. This pancake contains too many vegetable.

They also cut the vegetable in the very big size, so you will feel like eating some bland vegetable instead of vegetable pancake.

Will I go there again? Absolutely No!

Oriole Cafe + Bar

Hello Guys!!!

Share with you another restaurant that I had together with my office’s department. When you have farewell, you will have greeting / welcoming right?

Well, after we had farewell with one of our colleagues last year, we also had a welcoming celebration to our new colleague. With of course, my manager as the sole sponsor =)

This time round, I suggested Oriole Cafe + Bar. I saw many good comments on this café.

Over there, we ordered Fish & Chips, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Mushroom Tagliatelle Set Lunch, Pork Schnitzel Set Lunch and Beef Stew Set Lunch.

The set lunch comes with one bowl of soup of the day or Chicken and Asparagus. Set Lunch Promotion only available from Monday to Friday.

I told them that the recommended dishes over there are Fish & Chips and Jamaican Jerk Chicken.

Fish & Chips consists of Battered snapper fillets, hand cut chips, tartar sauce / malt vinegar.

Pork Schnitzel consists of Breaded Pork Loin, Hand-Cut Fries, and Apple Sauce.

Jamaican Jerk Chicken consists of Grilled Jerk-rub baby chicken, corn salsa, crispy onion rings.

Personally, I’m not that impress with the Fish and Chips. It’s just ordinary Fish and Chips, nothing so special about that. But my colleague told me that his Jamaican Jerk Chicken is very nice and the portion is a lot.

Other colleagues told me that theirs Beef Stew and Pork Schnitzel are okay.

My manager was not that impressed with his Mushroom Tagliatelle either. He still prefers the dishes he ate at the Chef Daniel Kitchen. 

Overall, their foods are okay. We are leaved the place happily and with big belly =P (okay maybe except me and my manager whose are not that happy with our choice of food).

If you are coffee lovers, you may try their coffee. Their coffees are very famous.

Anyway, Tomorrow is Friday. Yes!!! I simply love Friday, especially at 6:00 p.m. (and I LOVE weekend too of course)!!

Bakmie Jakarta

Yippie, finally I find one authentic restaurant which focussing on selling the Indonesian Bakmie (handmade noodle) in Singapore, named Bakmie Jakarta. Bakmie Jakarta is quite new at Killiney Road.

I called it authentic because 90% of their menu is about Bakmie.

Every time I take the shuttle bus from my office to Somerset MRT, I always by pass this restaurant. So, last month on one of the Friday evening, I ask my colleague to have our dinner over there. 

I ordered Mie Kuah (Soup) Special. My colleagues tried the Bakmie ayam (chicken) special set and Bakmie Pangsit goreng (Fried Wanton).

Mie Kuah Special contains of soup noodle, chicken, fish balls, beef balls and an eggs.

The fish balls and beef balls are super chewy and nice, but the soup is a bit bland (not tasty).

They serve it not hot as well. I believed it's because they just put the cold cooked noddle into the hot soup.

Although there is have some minus point, I was not regret to try their bakmie. At least, I know a place that I would go if I am craving Indonesian bakmie at Singapore :)

Last but not least, I hope Bakmie Jakarta management will try to improve their bakmie quality :)

Epilogue Café

Happy Monday to all my lovely readers!!!

How’s your weekend? My weekend went so well!!! I was so happy to get the invitation for two people to review the Epilogue Café. So, last Sunday, My sister and I went down to Epilogue Café which located at Orchard Central.

A short introduction about this cosy café:

Epilogue Café is a café inside the Prologue bookstore. This café offers many variations of Hot Sandwiches, Cold Cut Sandwiches, Pastas, Cakes & Desserts, Coffees and many more.
I especially adore how they decorate this café; the cosy ambience over there and their choice of songs are very nice as well.  It is such a place that can make me feel comfortable. 

Over there, we tried Norwegian Smoked Salmon Sandwich, Carbonara Pasta with Beef Bacon and Signature Affogato.

Norwegian Smoked Salmon Sandwich is made with herb fiocaccia bread, served with mixed green salad. The bread is crunchy and the salmon is nice.

Their Carbonara Pasta with Beef bacon is not bad either. The bacon is a lot and the sauce is creamy.

Signature Affogato is an espresso with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. The combination between espresso and Vanilla Ice Cream is brilliant. This is a dessert that you might want to try over there.

Overall, we were satisfied to have our lunch at Epilogue Café.

Suanthai

Hello, All!!!

Today I will share my review about Suanthai restaurant. Suanthai is a Thai restaurant that offers buffet and ala-carte menu. It located around Killiney Road.

Over there, I and colleagues tried their buffet. Overall, most of the dishes are nice (especially the Boneless Stuffed Chicken Wing). The only thing that made us a bit dissatisfied was we could only order that Boneless Stuffed Chicken Wing for one time serve.

FYI, although they offer a ‘so called’ buffet, some of the dishes can only be ordered for one time.

Those dishes are: Tom Yam Soup with Prawn, Boneless Stuffed Chicken Wing, Chicken Wrapped in Pandan Leaf, Thai Style Chicken Satay, Deep Fried Squid with Garlic and Stir Fried Mixed Seafood with Basil & Long Beans.

With the price range around S$16.90 - S$19.90 (it will depend the buffet time), Suanthai’s buffet is really worth to try.

PS: If you want to try their buffet, I would suggest you to make a reservation first.

Charlie Brown Café

Good Day to All!!

Today I want to share super good news for all the “Charlie Brown and Snoopy” fans!!

Please allow me to introduce: Charlie Brown Café @ 313 Somerset =)

I love to see the overall layout of this restaurant. You may find a lot of Charlie Brown and Snoopy decorations over there (such as posters, toys, accessories, etc.).

Over there, we ordered Charlie All-Time Favourite, Italian baked rice and Charlie`s Suzette.

Charlie All-Time Favourite set consists of:  juicy chicken Chipolatas, Turkey ham and 2 sunny side ups, served with crepe. The taste is nice & with the portion that they gave, I can guarantee that you will feel full after ate that.

Italian Baked rice is also very nice. This dish consists of: minced beef in tomato sauce with garlic parsley rice baked in mozzarella.

For drink, we tried their Charlie Cappuccino and Charlie Mocha.

Actually, I am not a coffee lover. But for the sake of getting a picture of this cute Charlie Cappuccino, I had no choice to ordered it too =P

Overall, the dishes over there are very nice.

Marché Restaurants is one of the special Restaurants that you should try. You can found Marché either at 313 Somerset or Vivo City.

Marché offers quite a lot different type of dishes. Some of the famous dishes you must try over there are Swiss Rosti and Crepe. The taste is very nice.

This restaurant interior is very cool. It would make you more comfortable having your lunch/dinner over there.

Actually, I had a dinner over there last year. One of my ‘generous’ relatives brought me there for a dinner together. Lovely environment, great food and best companion makes your dinner is simply joyful!!!
