Kim`s Famous Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee

Hello All!!

Today I want to review one of my favourite’s foods in Singapore called Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee.

A short introduction about this food:
Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee is originally from Fujian province in south eastern China. Nowadays, this dish is served in many Southeast Asian countries (mostly in Singapore and Malaysia).

Thanks to the immigrants from Fujian - China to introduce this nice dish.

Kim’s is one of the oldest and most famous Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee restaurants in Singapore from 1965.

The owner - Tan Kue Kim is one of the legendary Hokkien Mee master. Maybe most of the people in their fifties will still remember his attire style: wear the long sleeve shirt and a Rolex watch while frying the Hookien Mie.

This Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee use Prawn as the main ingredient with slices of pork and squid.

Even though the price is a bit expensive ($5) compare to other Hokkien Mee, the taste very nice and the portion is big.

Other than Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee, they also served other dishes like fried rice and many more.

But, since the dish that make Mr. Tan famous is the Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee, why not you try this dish when you visiting his restaurant =P
