Boon Tong Kee Little Gourmet is one of many chicken rice restaurants in Singapore which is quite famous. They have total of 6 branches in Singapore (Balestier, MacPherson, Whampoa West, River Valley, East Coast, Bukit Timah and Ang Mo Kio area).
Last month, we tried this restaurant which is located at River Valley branch.
Over there, we ordered Signature Boiled Chicken, Poached Chinese Spinach with Assorted Eggs, Deep Fried Chicken Feet with Thai Style Sauce and Crispy Beancurd.
Boon Tong Kee is famous because of their signature boiled chicken. But for me personally, I don't like it. The chicken is not juicy and the meat is not tender as well. It's like they boiled the chicken for too long.
I prefer their Deep Fried Chicken Feet with Thai Style Sauce. They serve the chicken boneless. It's crispy and tasty.
Crispy Beancurd is also not bad. It's crispy outside and soft inside. I believed it's not easy to create this dish.
Poached Chinese Spinach with Assorted Eggs is also nice. It's has century egg inside.
Will I go there again? Maybe, once in a while.
