Tai-Parfait

Today I will share with you about a famous dessert among youngsters and girls named Tai-Parfait.

Tai-Parfait (a.k.a Taiyaki Parfait) is a dessert that is made from the combination of Japanese dessert (Taiyaki) and French dessert (Parfait).

Basically, they put whipped cream/ice cream, chocolate sauce/caramel sauce, chocolate stick, and azuki/fruits (banana, strawberry) on the top of taiyaki mouth.

It's a very smart idea for creating this dessert. The cute looks of Tai-Parfait makes this dessert popular among girls and in a very short time, it becomes a famous dessert in Singapore.

Over there, I order Strawberry Chocolate. Strawberry Chocolate consist of whipped cream, strawberry, chocolate sauce and chocolate stick.

This Strawberry Chocolate Tai-Parfait is amazingly delicious. The combination between taiyaki and the toppings are perfect.

Will I go there again? Yes

Have you ever imagined the fertile plant soil is edible for us and have delicious taste? This soil is fertile enough to grow from the seeds to a small leaf. I try eating it before and I agree that the taste is delicious. Do you believe me? You may see below image as a prove.

Hehehe, let's stop my nonsense and start the review.  This is actually a dessert that looks like a plant in a small pot. I find this desserts at Tea Tree Café - NEX Mall.

The soil is made from ice cream, jelly, candy which can blow in your mouth and oreo on the top.

It's very tasty and for sure you will crave for a second one.

Will I go there again? Yes.

MeMe Bouncy Hearty

Hi all!

I will review about MeMe Bouncy Hearty today. I believe that I am the first one who reviews this restaurant.

Do you have any idea what is Bouncy Hearty?
Bouncy Hearty (a.k.a Bao Xin Fen Yuan) is a big bubble with the bean inside. This bubble is similar like bubble in a bubble tea, but has a bigger size. This is a famous food from Luodong Night Market in Yilan - Taiwan.

I know this MeMe Bouncy Hearty from Serene. She tells me that she had found a new dessert restaurant at Djitsun Mall. FYI, Djitsun Mall located nearby Jubilee Square and Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic. It's around 10 minutes walking distance from Ang Mo Kio MRT.

MeMe restaurant has claimed that they are the first one in Singapore selling Bouncy Hearty.

They offer four types of cold desserts that come with bouncy hearty as a set menu, such as: Bouncy Hearty Sesame, Bouncy Hearty Pudding, Bouncy Hearty Honey curd and Happy Bouncy Hearty.

The waiter explains to me that they serve bouncy hearty in a hot condition. The idea is that they want to mix the hot from bouncy hearty with the cold from cold dessert.

I order Bouncy Hearty Pudding. The pudding contains assorted of puddings, ice cream, black grass jelly and red peanuts. It's very delicious. The Bouncy Hearty is bouncy enough and the pudding is very refreshing. It's nice to mix them together.

Will I go there again? Yes.

Dessert Hut

At People Park Centre, there is one famous dessert shop named Dessert Hut. Among other competitor at the same area, this shop is still the winner for me.

Over there, we ordered Yam with Black Glutinous Rice, Eggcurd with Mango and Sesame Cream.

I like Eggcurd with Mango the most. It's very refreshing and nice.

Yam with Black Glutinous rice also not bad. It's warm and tasty.

Sesame Cream is just a normal dessert for me. The taste is the same like normal sesame cream that you can found in another dessert stall.

Will I go there again? Yes.

Eggcurd with Mango S$2.80

Tong Shui Desserts

Today I will share with you one dessert stall named Tong Shui Desserts. Located at People's Park Centre, this dessert stall sells many types of cold and warm desserts.

Over there, we ordered Ice Nata with Jackfruit, 8 Bean Treasure with Chin Chow and Strawberry Surprise.

Strawberry Surprise dessert tastes refreshingly sweet. It's combination between mint (from the ice cream) and sweet (from the strawberry syrup and the fruits). The fruit is fresh enough.

8 Bean Treasure with Chin Chow also not bad. Although I am not a bean type, but I do like this dessert.

I don't like Ice Nata with Jackfruit. It's because they put coconut milk. I prefer they put ice cream instead.

Will I go there again? Maybe yes, but surely I will not order Ice Nata with Jackfruit anymore.

Mei Heong Yuen Dessert

Hello Guys!!

For a country with hot weather like Singapore, enjoy Snow Ice in the weekend afternoon is such a blast. Introduce one super nice dessert shop in China Town Singapore. It called Mei Heong Yuen Dessert.

Last Friday (public holiday), I together with my sister and Serene went there to try their dessert.

See from the quantity of the customer (it was quite crowded over there, but we no need to queue to get our sit though) and the price of each snow ice dessert, I am not that surprise that they could have three shops altogether at Temple Street =P

They also have branch at Ion Orchard and Chinatown Point (newly open).

Anyway, over there we ordered Banana Choc Snow Ice, Durian Snow Ice, Chendol Snow Ice, Glutinous Chicken Rice, 3 Colour Cakes (Pumpkin cake, carrot cake and yam cake), Chee Cheong Fun and Mango Roll.

Between those three snow ice desserts, I love the Banana Choc Snow Ice most. Not because it was my choice of dessert, but it just taste the best. The banana taste is so strong and the chocolate flavour makes the whole dessert even greater.

My second favourite is the Chendol Snow Ice (浆罗雪花冰). It just tastes like a normal chendol. However it still tastes refreshingly sweet.

My less favourite is the Durian Snow Ice (榴莲雪花冰). Quite disappointed with this dessert. It really lacks the durian taste. If they more generous in giving the durian sauce/syrup topping, it will be a lot better.

Glutinous Chicken rice (糯米鸡) is deliciously juicy. The chicken and the gravy are simply nice.

3 colours cake dessert contains of Carrot Cake (萝卜糕), Pumpkin Cake (南瓜糕) and Yam cake (芋头糕). I personally only like the Carrot Cake, but my sister and Serene like all the flavours.

Chee Cheong Fun (猪肠粉) tastes really normal. The best things in ordering this dish is you will feel quite full after eating it =)

One dessert that you can’t forget to try over there is the Mango roll (芒果卷). The mango is smooth, fresh and sweet. You will never enough eat this one.

Banana Choc Snow Ice S$6.00

Durian Snow Ice S$5.00

Chendol Snow Ice S$6.00

Glutinous Rice (Chicken) S$2.50
