Happy eating with maximum $5 at Nur` Ilham June and Family Nasi Padang

Hi all,  I know that many of you have been waiting for my “S$5.00 – Happy eating” post, but so sorry, these days I was quite busy with my stupid current project (Duh, please don’t remind me about that)  Anyway, here is the post that you have been waiting for =P

Nur` Ilham June & Family Nasi Padang

I still remember, on that day, the hawker centre near our office was closed. So, there was no other choice, we need to find other place to have our lunch. Luckily we found out Nur` Ilham June & Family Nasi Padang

For me, founding them is like founding a hidden gem, it’s simple because it’s location.  It's located inside Manhattan House. I’m quite sure that not many of you heard about this place before.  There is no MRT near there (Alamak, I know).

Ok, let's back to the review. Nur` Ilham June & Family Nasi Padang offers many varieties of Malay foods that you can choose to add on with the rice. Every day they will have different special menu for you to try. On the day I was there, they had Nasi Briyani as a special menu.

Without think twice, I ordered Nasi Briyani.

Their Nasi Briyani comes with chicken, acar (pickle), papadam and curry gravy. FYI Papadam is a crispy Indian crackers.

I like this Nasi Briyani so much. The chicken is tender and big enough. The acar is also very delicious.

Will I go there again? Yes.

Sekba

Today I will introduce you a delicious food in Indonesia named Sekba. Sekba is a Chinese food that contains of pig organ, potato, tofu and pickled mustard green with soup. The soup itself is tasty and rich of flavors.

Sekba can be considered as an Indonesian street food.

To order Sekba, you need to choose which one do you want. The price is variety, it depends on what you choose.

I ordered pork meat, potato and pickled mustard green. Every dish comes with soup.

I like it so much. It's delicious but my advise don't eat this food too often :)

Bar Bar Black Sheep

First of all, I want to say sorry to all of you that I have had a long absent from blogging. It's because I am quite busy with other things. But it doesn't stop me to find nice place to eat. It's just that I don't have time to write blog. Hope you understand :)

For the first post after my long absent, I want to show you a nice place to hang out around Robertson Quay. The name of this place is Bar Bar Black Sheep. I believed some of you heard about this place before.

I went to Bar Bar Black Sheep during lunch hour with my colleague. I ordered Blue Cheese Burger because I thought the cheese color is blue (sorry for my ignorance :p), so it would look cool in the picture.

But unfortunately, it was not like the way I expected. The blue cheese color was not blue.  It just has many small blue dot inside the cheese. Never mind, the combination between meat and blue cheese taste were not bad. The meat was also tender.

FYI, blue cheese is a general classification of cow's milk, sheep's milk, or goat's milk cheeses that have had cultures of the mold Penicillin added so that the final product is spotted or veined throughout with blue, blue-gray or blue-green mold, and carries a distinct smell, either from that or various specially cultivated bacteria (from Wikipedia).

Will I go there again? maybe Yes.
