Catch `N Bite

Feeling hungry after shopping at Westgate Mall? You may try Catch `N Bite. Catch 'N Bite is a sandwich shop that is focusing on selling seafood sandwiches and seafood tapas.

Catch `N Bite is famous with their Crunchin's crab. Crunchin's crab consists of crunchy soft shell crab layered with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, in between a toasted ciabatta bun.

Too bad that day was not my lucky day, I couldn't try the Crunchin's crab. It's because of overwhelming response in that day, they had no more stock of crunchin's crab.  So I decided to ordered another dish 'Ultimate Lobster'.

Ultimate Lobster consists of Premium Maine lobster, served with fresh vegetables on a toasted ciabatta bun. Although I can't tried their signature dish, I was still glad that I tried Ultimate Lobster. I like the Ultimate Lobster so much. They also gave generous lobster meat topping and the price was affordable.

Anyway, Thank you so much to Catch `N Bite management for the food tasting invitation.

2 Degree Ice Bar

Last Saturday I got invitation to review 2 Degree Ice Art 2013-2014 exhibition. Curious to know about that exhibition? You may see my review about 2 Degree Ice Art 2013-2014 exhibition in here.

Other than displaying ice statues, 2 Degree Ice Art management also creates a unique bar named 2 Degree Ice Bar.

Inside 2 Degree Ice Bar, you may experience drinking a beer in a special carved ice mugs in a -15°C cold room. In that temperature, the ice mugs will not melt.

After you finish your drink, you can throw the ice mugs against a smash wall. Other than Smash Wall, this bar also have tables and chairs manually carved out of ice.

They provide the winter coat for you to wear before entering 2 Degree Ice Bar. Btw, this bar is a family-friendly bar. So, your children can also go inside this bar.

Over there, I order Dester (2 Degree Ice Mugs). FYI, Dester is a new Singapore label by Asia Pasific Breweries.

Anyway, please don't ask me how the taste of the Dester beer is as I am not used to drink beer. Honestly, I am more curious about carved ice mugs rather than the beer itself :p

TODAI

Please raise your hand if you are crab lovers.  PS: By now, I’m standing lifting both hands and shout “I AM”=) … I’m still normal, don't worry…….

I believed most people (especially Singaporeans) do love to eat crab (who doesn’t anyway).  But, have you ever eat the Golden Crab?  Even after you eat, You MUST still try the spectacular version of the Golden Crab at TODAI restaurant

TODAI is an International cuisine, seafood and sushi buffet restaurant located at Marina Bay Sands. TODAI is so famous, especially among Korean people.  Many K-pop stars have ever visited this restaurant and had the autographs. Even Justin Bieber was also visited TODAI.

From mid-January 2014, TODAI starts serving Golden Crab that you can try on weekdays dinner as well as weekends both lunch and dinner.

FYI, Golden Crab (also known as the Deep Sea Atlantic Golden Crab) has a unique golden-cream shell that does not turn red like other crab shells when is cooked. This crab is generally large and can weigh up to two kilos each. Its succulent white flesh has a firm texture with a distinctive sweet taste.

With its thin shell, you can also expect to enjoy more of the delectable meat of the Golden Crab in its legs, claws, and even in the body, where the distinctive flavor of the crab is also present.

They introduce three Golden Crab dishes (such as Cold Golden Crab, Chili Golden Crab and Steamed Golden Crab) for you to try.

Cold Golden Crab

Cold Golden Crab consists of cooked Golden Crab which is put on the top of ice bowl. This is my favorite dish. I like the refreshingly coldness taste yet fresh when I chew the crab meat.

 Chili Golden Crab

Chili Golden Crab is a Korean version of Singapore Chili Crab. My sister loves this one so much. She loves the combination flavor between the sweet crab meat and the light Korean spices.

 Steamed Golden Crab

Steamed Golden Crab is also not bad. The chef is steamed the crab perfectly.

All of the three crab dishes that I try are fresh. It's indeed a top quality golden crab.
Other than crab, TODAI also serves Korean Winter Street Foods such as Hotteok (sweet pancake), Carp Bread, Grilled Sweet Potato and Odeng (stewed fish cake).

Visited TODAI is not complete without trying their famous LA Galbi. This is a Korean grilled beef that you die-die MUST try. It's really delicious.
